Womongathering's Dinner Party

In the spirit of Judy Chicago's Dinner Party, Womongathering is going to undertake creating our own version at this year.  For those who have not yet heard of Judy Chicago or the Dinner Party, here is a good site to view the original.

To participate in our Dinner Party:

You would first have to select a womon to "invite" to the table.   She may be a Goddess, a mythical being, a literary character, an artist or musician, a historical womon /political activist who through her activism influenced things for the betterment of women.

Then you would have to introduce her to us by writing a short description (should be able to fit on an index-sized card) of her accomplishments. Such as Suzy Q., political activist/musician, born, died, and which of her accomplishments that made you choose her.

The plate can be wood, ceramic or glass and needs to be decorated to reflect the era and accomplishments of your guest. It should be between 8 - 12 inches in diameter.

You may or may not choose to use utensils and a drinking container as part of your place setting.

The placemat needs to be 5 feet long and no more than 20 inches wide.  It also needs to be decorated to reflect the guest.

Because we have a limited seats at our triangular table RESERVATIONS are a necessity!  As we receive that information we will post the projects that are underway.
